Darren:
Once again dealing with conflict, this track is schizophrenic. The
slick moody bassline and held-back vocal in the verses are in direct opposition
to the intense anger and release of the chorus. Turbulent mood swings
and angry guitar hooks dominate throughout. When Rex Goh played the solo
we were jumping out of our skins. Even though it goes all over the place
we felt that the solo was perfect. It was a single take and was so angry
we just had to keep it.
Daniel:
'Break Me Shake Me', again, was really written from a song called 'Stepping
Stone', for anyone who can get their hands on our first demo tape, there
should be a few out there somewhere. Uhm, this a guitar rock song, this
is about... putting a guitar over your shoulder and being a hero. For
me. Ahh, live, it's a great performance, performing song... umm, the light
and shade in this song is incredible. It's just either in your face or
it's whispering at you. Uhm... I think it's a really strong track.

И снова конфликт, эта песня просто шизовреническая. Гладкий, унылый бас
и удерживаемый бэк-вокал в тексте были в абсолютном несоответствии с сильным
гневом и освобождением в конце . Бурное настроение, ритм и гневная гитара
господствовали во всей песне. Когда Рекс Гох исполнял соло, мы выпрыгивали
из кожи . Мы поняли что это соло просто идеально! Песня была настолько гневная
и необычная, что мы режили оставить ее.

'Break Me Shake Me' произошла от демки 'Stepping Stone'. Но каждый, кто
слышал нашу первую демо-кассету , поймет что песня отличается от оригинала.
Мммм это песня, исполненная на гитаре в стиле Рок это про то...как ты
вешаешь гитару себе на плечо и становишься героем . Для меня это ах, жизнь,
это пострясающий спектакль и выдрессированная песня. Свет и тень в ней
просто невероятные. Это то, что выражается на твоем лице или шепчет тебе...ммм
я думаю это по-настоящему сильный трэк.
