Viva Las Vegas Baby.....Yeah!!!
As my idol Austin Powers might have said....Vegas is my happening and it FREAKS ME OUT!! Well...we are currently leaving the State of Nevada on our way to Salt Lake City. What can I tell you? Hmmm...San Francisco was a fantastic town...reminded me a lot of Sydney, Australia. The weather was FREEZING..though. Good crowd and the Warfield theatre...and some good down time on our day off to reset. We were all a little conscious of playing in L.A the next day...and there is always something kind of different about the vibe there. Maybe it's because in New York and L.A EVERYONE who is ANYONE has played there..so the crowds are hard to impress.

Anyway...it was an outdoor show at the Greek Theatre.and it was strange. It was almost like...people were afraid to kind of...LET LOOSE. I am positive that they enjoyed it...and we played really well. But it was a little sterile. I much preferred getting out to the lunacy of Vegas... This town in the middle of the desert...hot as hell with all the comforts of a King imported, transplanted there for the luxury of high rollers. It's so ironic. All the money...all the extravagance. Fake trees...oceans...themes parks in hotels. Money...bankruptcy. And this atmosphere of craziness. Every cell in your body tells you to PARTY.
So...we performed at The Joint...a venue in the Hard Rock Hotel. This was the most incredible gig. Really fantastic atmosphere and great venue. The entire show was simultaneously broadcast on the net. Very cool.

Playing live is definately something we are proud of. I personally have a big problem with 'artists' who mime...or lip synch..or whatever you wanna call it. I believe that seeing a band live is warts and all. If I hit a bum note..then so be it..that is what you pay for. If I hit a brilliant note..then that's fantastic. That's what makes some nights INCREDIBLE...and others not so. You never know. Also I figure if you want to listen to the cd....stay home. Coming out to see a band live is all about living in the moment.

That night we went out dancing...had a blast. Rumor has it Daniel's mother was seen shakin' her booty with moi and the team to Madonna's Ray of Light until the wee hours of the morning.

Scariest thing in my life?? Oh my god...!! The Big Shot ride on the roof of the Stratosphere hotel. We are talking near death experience. I can't believe I did it.
