Darren:
A track which took on another identity during the recording process. The thick doubled fuzz base combined with Rex Goh's funk/blues guitars give this song an almost Prince-like vibe. Lyrically a trance-like ranting describing a state of mind we would all like to get to at some point: the disco inside your head!

Daniel:
Great idea from Charles of the bassline came out in the studio. Uhm... just started distorting it, made it a really fuzzy, funky blues. This song's got everything. It was actually a really hard song to record because it was our first one. Darren and I had just flown down to Sydney. Just met with this producer, called Charles Fisher. Walked into the studio, and we all looked at each other and said... 'Where do we start?' And, one of us said... 'Violet'. And about a month later we actually got something happening on 'Violet'. That's how long it took before we actually got something moving in the studio.
